Hi Jeremy, the difference between the Callaway Strata Tour vs Ultimate is not entirely obvious, but from what I can gather from the manufacturer is that the Tour have a Titanium composite driver instead of a Full Titanium driver in the Ultimate. Composite drivers have more durability. The Tour comes with a mallet putter, the Ultimate has a blade putter, and it also appears that the shafts in the Tour irons are slightly stiffer than the Ultimate, making the Tour set potentially better for players with a faster swing. Hope this helps!

Hi TJ, The 2017 is a good improvement on the 2015 Ultra version. Here it is on Amazon.com: http://amzn.to/2uXQktl. If you can’t find it then the 2015 is still a great set of clubs. All the best!

Hi Jay, I’m a bigger fan of the Callaway Strata set than the Wilson or Nextt set. However, they are very much beginner clubs and as you have been playing for a year you might be better off going with Callaway XR irons and woods. These are great for intermediate, but admittedly a lot more pricey than Stratas. All the best!

Hi Sam, Both sets are very good but if I had to choose one I would go with the Callaway Strata, as the drivers and the irons, are in my opinion better. The 12-piece includes a 6 iron through to pitching wedge, a driver, 3 wood and hybrid, as well as putter (i.e. 9 clubs), and the other three pieces are two headcovers for the woods and a bag. The only club that I think is missing from this set is a sand wedge. If you want a more extensive set then go for the 18-piece Strata set. Hope this helps!

Hi Ray, Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, these clubs will be fine for your son. They are a full length shaft ideal for people 6’2″ and under. At 66″ or 5’5″ your son might find them a little long but will quickly grow into them, so I would recommend going ahead with the purchase. All the best!

Hi Robert, thanks for the insight. I hit the lower wood alternatives from both Adams and Callaway, and didn’t think there was too much of a difference, but Adams are known for creating great higher woods. Stay in touch!
